Finally, the much awaited Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is available in the markets of Singapore from 20 August this year. Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is the latest entry to Galaxy phone and tablets series by Samsung, making it to the successor of Samsung Galaxy Note 5. Earlier, the Android phablet smartphone is released on August 19, 2016 in US market followed by its launching on September 2 in Europe.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 resembles lot Galaxy S7 Edge when it comes to design except the S Pen Stylus. Its weight is 169 g which makes it bit heavier than Galaxy S6 Edge Plus (153 g) while lighter than Galaxy Note 5(171g).
Coming to display, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has 5.7 Quad HD super AMOLED screen which is similar to its predecessor along with the screen resolution (2,560×1,440). It has 64 GB of storage which is again more or less equal to the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy Note 5. However, the previous versions have both 32 GB and 64 GB models while it would be available in 64 GB model only.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has a slot for up to 256 GB SD card which is missing in Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy Note 5. Its primary camera is of 12 MP which is comparatively less than the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy s6 Edge Plus. But the front camera would remain 5 MP like previous models. The camera can capture at the rate 30 FPS making it a 4k compatible camera. Both front and rear cameras are equipped with Auto HDR capability. Besides, it has Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and 4 GB RAM.
With its resounding success in Korean market and huge demand in Canada, it can be said that Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will also take the Singaporean markets by storm. However, the launching of iPhone 7 is being seen as the new challenge for Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
